Busy, busy, busy!

I've been having a lot of fun lately with some 18x20 canvases. Much larger than I'm used to, considering that I started out doing 4x4 and 5x5 paintings! In these larger pieces, I'm being much more loose and abstract.

This particular photo was snapped by me using the iPhone. (I will soon be having professional shots taken by my husband, a photographer.)

The larger paintings are going to be part of a show I'm doing in mid-July. I've been selected to be the first artist to display work following renovations at The Bean Counter in Worcester!

Long time, no post!

I've been very busy. Yes, making art. But also being a homeschooling mom and a part time web site moderator. Sometimes the creative life takes many forms. Mine is taking the form of "motherhood and bill paying comes first" right now.

Lucky for me, part of paying those bills is creating new art to make into cards and magnets, and to sell as paintings in the shops that carry my work. This design, which I call "Basking City Kitty," is actually based on a cat that I saw who was sitting just like this. Hard to believe, huh?
